HMS Charybdis - Sirmar Fittings

HMS Charybdis Leander-Class Frigate – 1/96 Scale Model Hull and Fittings

HMS Charybdis, known throughout the Fleet by the nickname “Cherry B”, was first commissioned in June 1969. She initially served as a gun-armed Leander-class frigate before undergoing a major modernisation between 1979 and 1982.

During the refit, HMS Charybdis received a Sea Wolf missile launcher, four Exocet missile launchers, an enlarged hangar for the Lynx helicopter, a new mainmast and a distinctive flat-top funnel. She returned to the Fleet in early 1982 with a significantly updated weapons and sensor fit.

Sirmar Fittings offers a 1/96 scale HMS Charybdis model warship hull and a range of fittings packs for model makers recreating this modernised Leander-class frigate.
