H.M.S Brave Type 22 Model
The Batch 2 Type 22 frigates represented a development of the earlier Batch 1 ships, with changes to their aviation facilities and equipment.
H.M.S Brave had an enlarged hangar and flight deck, allowing the ship to operate its Lynx helicopter. Her sensor fit also included the 911 Tracker Radars associated with the Sea Wolf missile system.
These features make the Batch 2 Type 22 an interesting subject for scale model builders, with plenty of distinctive equipment to reproduce in detail.
