H.M.S. Exeter Fittings
H.M.S. Exeter fittings in 1/96 scale for model warship builders, restorers and enthusiasts. This range of fittings is designed for the H.M.S. Exeter Type 42 Batch 2 model and includes the weapons, radar systems, deck equipment, boats, lighting and smaller details needed to complete an accurate model.
H.M.S. Exeter
Launched in April 1978, H.M.S. Exeter was the first ship in the Type 42 Batch 2 series. Although she retained the same general hull and superstructure configuration as her sisters, Exeter received improved sensor systems, including the new 1022 main search radar.
She joined the fleet in 1980 and later formed part of the Falklands Task Force, where she was assigned to the anti-aircraft screen for the carrier group. During the Falklands campaign, Exeter was also used as the trials ship for new polymer paints and famously served with a turquoise blue bottom.
The model is produced at 1/96 scale and is designed to represent this distinctive Type 42 Batch 2 Royal Navy destroyer.

The glass fibre hull is moulded in white and includes the usual markings for the quarter deck openings, shaft outlets, “A” frames and rudder positions to help with construction.
