HMS Bluebell Fittings
HMS Bluebell was a Long Forecastle Flower-class corvette, completed by Fleming and Ferguson on 19 July 1940. Following completion, she joined the Northern Escort Force for convoy escort duties in the Western Approaches.
During her wartime service, HMS Bluebell escorted convoys on the Gibraltar route and took part in the Allied invasions of Sicily and Normandy. She also served in the North Atlantic and on the dangerous Arctic convoys to Russia.
On 17 February 1945, HMS Bluebell was torpedoed by the German submarine U-711 off the entrance to the Kola Inlet. The ship was lost, with only one survivor.

The hull is made from glass fibre and includes moulded construction markings for the shaft outlet, rudder and A-frame positions to assist with model building.
