H.M.S. Arun fittings for scale model builders.
HMS Arun was the final vessel completed in a class of twelve ships built by Richards Shipbuilders. The class was constructed to commercial specifications and designed for coastal deep-water minesweeping duties.
The vessels were intended to be crewed by members of the Royal Naval Reserve, based at various locations around the United Kingdom. The exception was HMS Blackwater, which had a Royal Navy crew and served with the Fishery Protection Squadron.
Sirmar Fittings offers a 1/48 scale model of HMS Arun, with a white GRP hull and a selection of detailed fittings packs covering the ship’s minesweeping equipment, deck machinery, armament and other features.
